Hip-Hop, RapAbout J-Bru
One of Halifax's most decorated hip hop figures — the self-proclaimed King of Halifax. 14+ years and 8+ albums of fierce lyricism. His 2013 album Stranger in My Hometown won an East Coast Music Award. Founded Bru-Print Music in 2007 for full creative control. Mentored a young Quake Matthews, famously sneaking him into clubs at 15 to battle older rappers. Opened for Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, and Ludacris.
